ACC HIGHLAND CAMPUS In 2013, Austin Community College and the City of Austin completed the first phase of a redevelopment project to transform Highland Mall — once Austin’s first major indoor mall — into the college’s largest and most technologically advanced campus. The result is a national model for sustainable, adaptive, community-minded reuse, and a campus that students love. Highland Campus represents ACC’s vision for the future of community college, with a mix of private and public partnerships that benefit both students and employers. The Bioscience Incubator, which serves as a classroom/laboratory for students, also offers leasable wet-lab space for commercial use. More partnerships are coming online as additional renovation takes place.
Programs ACC Highland provides access to numerous academic transfer and career-technical programs, plus a full range of support and services. The campus is also home to the Dance, Drama, Jewelry, and Art programs as well as the Texas A&M-Chevron Engineering Academy at Austin Community College.
Services Highland Campus is ACC’s central destination campus. The campus offers students a full menu of student support and services with extended hours. Services include advising and counseling, student life, and financial aid. The campus also features library facilities and media services, computer centers, and a learning lab with free tutoring.
